She was born a Sagittarius in 1980 and grew humbly and rapidly toward her destiny of optimistically compassionate however critical filmmaking. de la Cruz is both a thorough researcher and participant in mainstream and subcultural female culture. She most currently completed Flight, a half-documentary/half-dramatized short film retelling the true incident in which a woman jumped to her death from a moving airplane. Her next ambition is to finish My Grandmother Was Ten Feet Tall, an experimental documentary about the life and death of her grandmother, Lillian. In short, de la Cruz is #1 on the list of emerging, under 30 years of age, American Lady Artists.
