Matthew Coors

Matt Coors was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He earned a B.F.A. in Fine Arts (with concentrations in drawing and sculpture) from the University of Cincinnati in 2002, and went on to help his brother Paul found the independent Cincinnati art gallery Publico in January of 2003. Matt spent the next three and a half years helping to run the gallery, which soon grew into a collaborative effort operated by a committee of eleven local artists. Publico has also become one of the best-known independent art spaces in Cincinnati, exhibiting contemporary art from both Cincinnati-based and national artists. Nowadays, Matt can often be found reading, drawing, marveling at the grandeur of the California landscape, or listening to old radio shows with names like "The Hermit�s Cave."
