Sara Hunsucker is a Southern Californian artist who works in figurative drawing and painting. At the core of her practice is a simple curiosity about the relationship between body and psyche. She uses a language of dark humor that is residual from her relationship to her own body. Hunsucker generates content and imagery through a performance and other off beat sources. Her work addresses: aggression, eroticism, affection, sexuality, humor, empathy, voyeurism, discipline, conditioning, and the body.
