Sex and Souls and Rock 'n' Roll exists at the intersection of fan and star. Attempting to become a "superfan" I made puppet likenesses of three of my favorite rock suicides. My goal is to examine death, power relationships and states of transition through putting like-minded figures in dialogue with one another. Sexuality allows us to communicate in a make-out stance. The open mouth of the kiss becomes the channel between us. Through gesture, I am attempting to touch these stars, transgressing the boundaries of mortality and status.
