I am interested in analyzing the ideological dimension of conflict by mapping the triangulation between aesthetics of violence, memory, and public space, and by altering the way socio-economic relationships come to be constructed in these contexts through cultural products.

As part of cog•nate collective, I am presently working in two sites along the U.S./Mexico border: an artisan market at the San Ysidro Port of Entry in the city of Tijuana, and a shelter for recently deported migrants in the city of Mexicali.
