I make drawings, paintings, videos, installations and interventions that revolve around matters related to living and being, here and now, in the most quotidian surroundings. In my work, I use the everyday as a set of particular conditions that I face with playfulness, humor and distancing irony in order to unveil its multiple faces. The phenomenology and routines of the everyday is the material of my work, ready to be revised and modified. I try to identify patterns, orders and points of intensity while focusing on possibilities for and alternatives to the thinkable and imaginable that can be translated to others who may or may not share my life conditions. In my art practice, play is not an exit from reality but a vital strategy to insert myself as an active subject in its complexity. It is a way of negotiating with a socially established reality while reconfiguring it.
