Lauryn Smith

Lauryn Smith is an artist working in quilting, clay, and poetry. Originally from Northern New York, she is now based in Southern California were she is a candidate for an MFA in Visual Arts at UC San Diego. As a sculptor with a strong connection to feminine craft, Laurynís work ranges from quilting and sewing to clay and other materials. Her production often revolves around poetry and writing.The work often centers around dualities and binaries, including division and entanglement, burying and resurrection, as well as demand and submission.
